About the Artist
Hi, I'm Marlies, an illustrator from the Netherlands. I create illustration for toys,
packaging and brands.
packaging and brands.
My Inspiration
I've always been drawn to nostalgia, playful characters and retro colour palettes. That retro thread runs through everything I make, whether it ends up on a toy box, a snack pack or a bakery sign.
A Style for Every Product
Every product asks for its own visual language. For toys and games I draw bold, simple characters with a soft, grainy texture. For food and gift packaging I paint richer, storybook-like scenes. For brands I draw in a single colour, in line and halftone. Same roots, different outlets.
The projects on this site are concept work, shown as mockups. I'm available for commissions and licensing.
